Ladies play as men
On Wednesday May 21, the ladies mixed up their syllabus by adding in a mid-season fun day.
It was decided that they would play off the men’s tees and use the men’s stableford index.
The ladies have played this in the past, and it makes us realise the difference between the placement of the men’s and ladies' tees and the different holes that are scored differently by gender. It gives a really different slant to the game and the course we have played on for years.
There was a lovely sunny day, and off they went.
Helen Fisher again came in as the winner. She is certainly having a purple patch at the moment, but the grim reaper cannot touch her this week.
Helen scored 29 points to again win the Hayden’s Café voucher, Debbie came in with 26, Pam N made 24, and Fay brought up the rear of the field with 17 points.
Next week will be the first round of the Singles Knockout so we hope to see the best field for the year, and the following week will be Stableford, Secret Partners and Silver Spoon – all the “S’s” in the one week.
