Laharum continue hot form over Edenhope
Laharum’s senior men’s football side registered their third consecutive win as they defeated Edenhope Apsley 108-30 in round nine of the Horsham District Football Netball League on Saturday.

Final score was Laharum 16.12 (108) to Edenhope Apsley 4.6 (30).
The Demons raced out to a 34-6 lead at the first break and dominated the first three quarters as they led 94-11 entering the final term.
A spirited effort from the Saints saw them reduce the final deficit in the fourth quarter.
Robbie Miller, coach of Laharum, identified areas of improvement for the team while giving credit to Edenhope.
“We were a bit scratchy to start off with but we showed some really good glimpses throughout the game of some really good ball movement,” Miller said.
“Credit to Edenhope, they had a fair crack.
“They didn't raise the white flag at all throughout the game and it was a physical game of footy.”
For Laharum, Daniel Easson and William Miller were the best players on the ground, while Dale Smith and Shayne Williams were Edenhope’s best.
Laharum’s Phillip Butsch led all scorers with five majors.
The Laharum coach was quick to credit the leadership of Butsch in a standout performance.
“He’s (Butsch) invaluable – he’s like an extra coach out on the football field,” Miller said.
“He always chimes in when something needs to be said.”
Although the Demons have been hampered by injuries, Miller said he thought the adaptability of the team would allow them to be more versatile going forward.
“With our injury list at the moment, roles within the team change week in, week out,” Miller said.
“If our players can play various roles it’s pleasing to know that if we need to change something up during a game, they have the knowledge of those other positions and the patterns they involve.”
