LaVergne’s rubbish trip overseas

HAVING worked in waste and sustainability for more than 15 years in Western Victoria, La Vergne Lehmann recently returned from a very unique overseas trip – checking out what is being done to deal with waste and recycling in several countries, especially in their regional areas.

Yarriambiack Shire Council waste and sustainability coordinator and Dimboola local, La Vergne Lehmann recently returned from an incredible seven-week overseas trip to investigate how other places around the world deal with recycling and a circular economy. She travelled to New Zealand, Japan, Sweden, Scotland, Wales and England.
