Through 'listening sessions' across the municipality, Hindmarsh will seek to gather ratepayer feedback on the issues that matter most to constituents.

"No need to register or book a time – just drop in," Hindmarsh Shire mayor Ron Ismay said.

"We’re here to help, answer questions, hear your concerns and give you the opportunity to have input into council’s future plans.

“Our community rightly expects a high standard of community engagement and consultation.

"The new council is committed to being accessible and open and to actively seeking community input.

"We hope to see as many people at these events as possible.”

Listening sessions will be held throughout February across the shire and will be used to inform the 2025–26 annual budget, the 2025–28 council plan and other important decision-making.

Sessions will be held between 7pm and 8.30pm at the following locations:

Tuesday February 11 – 15 Federal Street, Rainbow

Wednesday February 12 – 4 Francis Street, Yanac

Tuesday February 18 – 10 Roy Street, Jeparit

Wednesday February 19 – 92 Nelson Street, Nhill

Monday February 24 – 101 Lloyd Street, Dimboola.
