Local artists recognised
The Turbo Gallery currently has on display a range of artwork as part of this year's Small Sculpture Prize Exhibition.

The exhibition opened on November 9, with a crowd of around 30 artists, community members and supporters attending the event.
During the ceremony, Ron Ismay spoke on behalf of T. Ismay and Co. to present the major award of $4,000 to Daniel Eckermann for his sculpture titled A Bit Warped.
The judging panel, made up of curator Lauren van Katwyk, sculptor and digital artist Dave Jones and photographer Melissa Powell, praised Mr Eckermann’s work for itsaesthetic quality and strong craftsmanship.
Caroline Cocks then spoke on behalf of the Bow Bakery and awarded the local award to Andy Morris for his sculpture titled Wilfred Wallaby.
His work was acknowledged by the judges for its character and ingenuity.
Deborah Adams, Don Fisher, and Marty Makin were also recognised for their highly commended work by director of the gallery, Belinda Eckermann.
The judging panel praised the overall standard of the exhibition, stating “all submissions were high quality”.
All artists in the competition were invited by Lauren van Katwyck to exhibit their work in the Community Gallery at the Horsham Regional Art Gallery soon.
Ms Eckermann thanks the artists who entered the competition this year, along with the judges for their expertise and time.
She also acknowledged the 14 sponsors, adding their support ensures they can run the prize.
"I would also like to say how proud I am of the locals who went out of their comfort zone to enter," Ms Eckermann said.
The People’s Choice Award is still up for grabs and community members are encouraged to visit the gallery and cast their votes.
Each voter may vote up to three times.
The exhibition remains open to the public until December 7, offering a vibrant display of creativity and talent from across the region.
