Local primary school to benefit from funding
Horsham West and Haven Primary Schools will benefit from an announcement made recently by the Victorian Government - to receive more than $200,000 in funding for maintenance works.
Minister for Education Ben Carroll announced 78 schools will share in over $21 million of funding from the Planned Maintenance Program (PMP) to undertake 79 maintenance projects between them across Victoria.
The program ensures schools can undertake essential work in classrooms and other school buildings, such as fixing roofs and replacing windows, painting, and floor resurfacing, as well as some external works, like improving pathways.
Horsham West and Haven Primary School have been allocated $207,746.10.
Works are determined by a rolling facilities evaluation process, which provides up-to-date information on the condition of schools to create a faster and more targeted allocation of funding.
