Loyalty recognised for volleyball's next wave
With Tim Popple, Nathan Berry, Kara Johnson, and Jack Hannan setting the bar for games played for Volleyball Horsham, a new generation of loyal members has started their journey towards catching their esteemed counterparts.

Tyler Puls, Shaun Bray, Dimitrios Vettos and Tamikah Dockrill have reached the 300-game milestone, while Tyler Snowden, Loucas Vettos, Mercedes Arnott, Emily Hannan, Laelah Robertson, Cleo Baker, Molly and Tim Carter were recognised for their 250-game milestones.
Tim Carter, speaking on behalf of the group, said it was an honour to be recognised for the achievement.
“We all started as kids, and at the time, it was all about learning how to play and having fun at the same time with our mates," he said.
“After a while, we started taking our opportunities, representing the association at tournaments, which helped develop our game.
“From those opportunities came country championships, state league and for some playing national juniors for Victoria, and that was when we started to realise there is more to volleyball if you take your opportunities.”
Tyler Snowden, who had time away from the association when he moved to Queensland, said he encouraged the younger members to embrace the opportunities put in front of them.
“Never be afraid to test yourself and keep supporting the association because you never know what lies ahead,” Snowden said.
He also said supporting the association behind the scenes was a good way to gain a greater understanding of what made an organisation tick.
“Make the time to serve on the committee as you learn so much about what it takes to get the sport up and running," he said.
Volleyball Horsham congratulates all members for their loyalty and wishes them all the best as their volleyball journeys continue.
