Market shines with local talent and spirit
Perfect weather set the scene for a vibrant Rainbow Market on Saturday March 29, with 35 stalls showcasing local goods, crafts and entertainment.

Despite a few late cancellations and a noticeable drop in patron numbers, an issue shared by other regional markets in recent months, the market still attracted visitors from Horsham, Patchewollock, Hopetoun, Warracknabeal and surrounding towns.
Stallholder success varied, with several first-time vendors reporting strong sales.
While some experienced quieter trade, most expressed satisfaction and enthusiasm for the following market scheduled later this year.
A highlight of the day was the debut performance by the Hopetoun Performing Arts group, marking an exciting milestone for both performers and audience members.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, local musician Maurice Conway from Hopetoun performed two sets of live music that were well-received by marketgoers.
The community also rallied behind a raffle supporting the Oasis, raising over $1,000. Winners included Mary Zadow (First Prize), Gene Fuller (Second Prize), and Abbey Greig (Third Prize).
Organiser Les Graetz thanked everyone for their involvement:
“A big thank you to all those who attended, the stall holders, some of whom travelled long distances, and everyone who helped on the day,” he said.
