Master plan set to be developed
Hindmarsh Shire Council has successfully secured $40,000 for Key Strategic Sport and Recreation Master Plans through the State Government's Round 2 of the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund which will see the master plan developed for the Jeparit Tennis Club and Caravan Park Precinct.

Alongside Dimboola Recreation Reserve and Nhill's David Park's master plans, the council will contribute $45,000 for these developments.
“The Jeparit Tennis Club currently has six tennis courts, of which three are not usable and three require an upgrade," Hindmarsh mayor Ron Ismay said.
"The preferred outcome is to have a total of four tennis courts, and it is envisaged that with the two courts being removed this will enable the expansion of the powered sites and non-powered sites for the Jeparit Caravan Park."
During community consultation and workshops for the development of the Hindmarsh Shire Community Action Plan 2024-2028 showed the redevelopment of the Tennis Club courts and the Caravan Park was one of the priorities for the Jeparit community.
Discussions with community members were then held during the development of masterplan for the Jeparit Riverbank Precinct on the need for a masterplan for the Jeparit Tennis Club incorporating the expansion of the Jeparit Holiday Park.
From the same grant fund, Hindmarsh also received $1 million to help upgrade the facilities at the Dimboola Swimming Pool.
