MotoCross State Champs come to Edenhope
Edenhope Motorcycling Club will be host to more than 200 riders this Saturday and Sunday, May 16-17, as it hosts round two of the senior Victorian Motocross Championships.

Club president Paul Colgate said the event will bring together some of the best riders in the state and across the nation, including Wimmera’s Joel Lowe.
“We should have over 200 of the best riders in the state and probably some of the best riders in the country,” he said.
“We won’t have a final number on entries until late entry closes on Friday night, but there will be plenty of quality riders carving out the track.”
Racing will commence on Saturday morning with qualifying at 8.30am, with competition expected to finish on Sunday afternoon.
Along with free entry, 3 Beans will be providing coffee, the club canteen will be open across the weekend, and food vendor Big Guys Pizza will be on-site on Saturday night.
Colgate thanked the local community for helping prepare for the championships, hoping the likely rain would not hinder the track on the weekend.
“We've had a lot of support from a lot of local companies and people,” he said.
“A good part about being in a small country town is when you have an event like this come to the area, everyone gets behind it.
“We've definitely got all the track prepped up and ready to go, and we’re just waiting to see what the weather’s going to do in the final days of preparation.”
