Multiple clubs share premiership glory

Different clubs claimed premierships in the grand finals of the Central Wimmera Tennis Association 2024/2025 Juniors category over the weekend.

Central Park claimed victories in Junior Open and Section 1 Girls, and Horsham Lawn won Section 1 Boys, Section 4 Girls and Match Play Section 5.

Haven claimed victories in Section 2 Boys, Section 4 Boys and Section 2 Girls, while Natimuk claimed premiership in Match Play Section 6.

In the Junior Open grand final, Central Park White claimed victory by five sets to one against Central Park Blue.

White defeated Blue by five rubbers, five sets and 34 games to one rubber, one set and 18 games.

White lost the first rubber by four games to six but remained victorious in the remaining five to claim the title.

Their score was 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-0, 6-4 and 6-3.

Section 1 - Boys:

Horsham Lawn Green defeated Central Park Blue by three rubbers, three sets and 28 games to three rubbers, three sets and 25 games to claim the grand final victory.

Their score was 6-3, 6-4, 5-6, 3-6, 6-0 and 2-6.

Section 2 - Boys:

Haven defeated Horsham Lawn Red by five sets to one to claim the season 2024/2025 title.

Haven won five rubbers, five sets and 31 games, while Red was able to win one rubber, one set and 13 games.

Their score was 6-3, 6-0, 6-2, 1-6, 6-0 and 6-2.

Section 4 - Boys:

Horsham Lawn White lost to Haven Yellow by one set to five at the season’s grand final 2024/2025.

White won one rubber, one set and 24 games, while Yellow won five rubbers, five sets and 31 games.

Their score was 3-6, 6-1, 4-6, 5-6, 3-6 and 3-6.

Section 1 - Girls:

Horsham Lawn Green lost to Central Park Blue by just one game in a close grand final match of the season.

Green won three rubbers, three sets and 26 games, while Blue claimed victory in three rubbers, three sets and 27 games.

Their score was 6-2, 5-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and 0-6.

Section 2 - Girls:

Haven defeated Horsham Lawn Gold by five sets to one to claim the premiership.

Haven remained victorious in five rubbers, five sets and 33 games, while Gold claimed one rubber, one set and 12 games.

Their score was 6-0, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4, 6-2 and 6-0.

Section 4 - Girls:

Horsham Lawn Green lost to Horsham Lawn Gold by two sets to four in the grand final of the season 2024/2025.

Green was able to win two rubbers, two sets and 25 games, while Gold claimed victory in four rubbers, four sets and 27 games.

Their score was 6-1, 5-6, 5-6, 3-6, 0-6 and 6-2.

Match Play Section 5:

Central Park lost to Horsham Lawn Gold by just two games in the season's grand final.

Central Park claimed three rubbers, three sets and 16 games, while Gold claimed three rubbers, three sets and 18 games.

Their score was 2-4, 4-2, 4-2, 1-4, 4-2 and 1-4.

Match Play Section 6:

Natimuk defeated Central Park White by four sets to two to claim the title.

Natimuk won four rubbers, four sets and 22 games compared to White's two rubbers, two sets and 13 games.

Their score was 3-4, 4-1, 4-3, 4-1, 4-0 and 3-4.
