ALAN Jephson and Noel Taylor have been recognised for their contributions to Natimuk Field and Game after the 2021 season.

Natimuk Field and Game committee member Bart Turgoose said the awards were presented at the club’s Christmas shoot.

“Alan received a 30-year service award for his contributions to the club over the years,” he said.

“Without volunteers like him, club’s can’t run.”

Turgoose said Taylor was awarded clubman of the year.

“Noel always does his best to help out and volunteers every week,” he said.

“His son and club president Zakk Taylor presented the award which was very memorable for both of them as the club means a lot to them.

“It was a really good thing to see.”

Turgoose said they also announced their aggregate winners for the season.

The aggregate winners for the 2021 shooting season were Brad Smith in AA, Bill Jorgensen in A, Darren Taylor in B, Greg Ross in C, Cam Mitchell in Veterans, Tabitha Ball in Ladies, Bart Turgoose in Under 18s and Mark Cooper in Under 15s.

“We had a really good turnout for our final shot of the year,” Turgoose said.

“After the crazy year, it was good to have some fun and get together.”

Turgoose said the club held its first shoot of the year early in January.

“The first shoot went off with a bang; we had about 80 shooters there,” he said.

“It was good to get back into the swing of things for 2022.

“We look forward to seeing familiar faces around the tracks this year.”
