Natimuk prepares for creative explosion at Frinj Festival
Hailed as a "feast for the senses" the Nati Frinj is back this Friday to Sunday - more bold and daring than ever.
A creative explosion, the festival will feature art, daring theatre, gigs, street performances, and, of course, lots of surprises.
Director of the festival, Alison Eggleton, said attendees can expect a diverse program, but also the unexpected.
"There are a lot of new works, which have been created especially for the festival," Ms Eggleton said.
"It's a wander around town and explore kind of thing, there's a lot of experiences, a lot of socialising and the entire town comes alive."
The Frinj has been created to invite community connection in a place to experiment and play.
The festival this year gets underway with an opening parade on the Main Street from 6pm.
There are numerous free events throughout the festival, including LOOM: Interactive Installation, Circus for All: Risky, Live Art Painting, Mexicana Ping Pom with Simon Hudson, and The Oom-pah.
Combined with paid events, the festival will be action-packed, with plenty to experience and see.
There will even be several performances that come to you, with Rich Royale, The Oom-pah and Wild Canary roving the streets.
But if more hands-on is your style, the festival caters to that as well, with many comedy/dance sessions - including David Salter's Late Night Clinic (ventriloquism), No Need for Rhythm (dance hour) and Rural Hot Bitches (dance workshop).
If relaxed is more your thing, plenty of talks will be held on Saturday and Sunday: Artists in Conversation (The Story of Becoming Nala Project), Live Art Artists Talk (Ned Middleton and Tobias Richardson) and Authors in Conversation (Led by Dr D'Arcy Molan).
