Fair Dinkum Fauna, owned by Horsham locals Michael Lloyd and Neve Lawson, offers high-quality mobile native animal interactive displays for educational presentations across western and central Victoria.

People of all ages get the chance to learn about Australian native species while having a play with the interactive animals and admire the display animals.

With the help of Horsham Rural City Council's youth team, attendees of the grand opening were able to get up close and personal with many native animals such as a the blue tongue lizard, a brush-tailed bettong, a Darwin carpet python and more.

Mr Lloyd and Ms Lawson said there were plenty of families lining up before the event started.

"We had great attendance and didn’t think we would get the numbers that we got," they said.

"It was very consistent throughout the day.

"We love spreading our knowledge to those young and old about Australian wildlife and hope to spark interest especially for the younger generations."

They said many were taking business cards and inquiring about community events, birthday parties and school visits.

"Everyone has been so kind and supportive and we hope to continue building up our business," they said.
