The Under-17 and Under-15 netball teams played in the Horsham District first semi-finals last weekend at Kalkee.

Although both teams lost, the girls can be very proud of their efforts to get so far.

Under-17s:

The team went into the game against Taylors Lake on Saturday without one its main playmakers - Shekinah Hurlstone.

This meant Lilly Williams took to the court after playing in the U15 game.

She played three quarters for the U17 team to make seven quarters total for the second week in a row - a fantastic effort from Lilly.

And it was great to see Clarissa Bigham back on the court, even for half a game, after her absence.

The girls tried hard, but fell further behind as the game progressed, eventually losing by 23 goals.

Shanae Bastin and Celie Fuller stood out in their positions, while Nekisha Bastin tried hard to lift the team.

Final score: JR 21, TL 40

Under-15s:

It was an even first-half on Sunday morning, before Edenhope Apsley pulled away to a 17-goal win.

Sally Smith and Lilly Williams were strong defenders, while Jayde-Rose Kajewski and Giselle Clugston worked hard around the court.

Phoebe Bigham shot some top goals.

It was good to see all the bench players get a run during the game.

Congratulations on this year's games, girls - you will go far!

Final score: JR 29, EA 46
