New caravan park amenities block now open
A new amenities block located at Warracknabeal Caravan Park is now completed, equipped with toilets, showers and a laundry.
Surrounded by landscaping that complements the construction and enhances its visual appeal, the facility has an accessible toilet and shower room, two female shower rooms, three female toilets (one ambulant), two male shower rooms and three male toilets (one ambulant).
"The old amenities block and the remaining ensuite site will be demolished in the near future to create additional caravan and camping sites," council CEO Tammy Smith said.
“We have observed significant community interest in our Warracknabeal Caravan Park with residents eager to share their insights and volunteer to improve the park's amenities."
Ms Smith said council will be establishing a 'Friends of the Warracknabeal Caravan Park' volunteer committee to share ideas and undertake working bees.
"We look forward to advertising for members in the new year”, she said.
Bookings for our Warracknabeal and Hopetoun Caravan Parks can be undertaken online or via calling the parks directly.
All details are available on council's website.
The amenities block received $185,000 in funding from the State Government VGO Caravan and Camping Grant for the Enhancing Warracknabeal’s Creekside Camping Asset project.
Council also contributed $221,008 towards the project.
