The Anglican Parish’s SHED Project has entered a new era by welcoming its first official female participants on Thursday, August 28.

“It was always part of the plan!” Rev James Wood said, who has been co-ordinating The Shed Project since July 2018.

“It has just taken a little while longer than we anticipated to be able to enter an exciting development in the growth of the project.

"We are delighted to offer this opportunity to our community and look forward to welcoming others interested in The Shed Project.”

The ethos and culture of the Shed Project will not change - as it is a unique opportunity for young people and mentors to explore construction projects, develop skills using woodworking tools, and build a stronger community through problem solving, socialisation and working as a team by helping each other out.

Female participants will be welcomed to the project on the second and fourth Thursdays (usually) in the month during school term times from 3.30-5.30pm.

Normally, anyone from Year four age group can join the project.

Registration with Rev James is essential to enable safe working practice and accountability.
