New innovations from Shearwell Data
Shearwell Data is making lamb marking easier and quicker for producers this season with the launch of its new Speedy Tagger applicator. Designed for use with its Australian-made, market-leading one-piece sheep tag, the Speedy Tagger is the latest innovation from the livestock identification specialist.
One of its standout features is the fast and easy loading of strips of ten Shearwell tags into the reusable magazine in just seconds.
Tags can then be applied quickly and easily with the ergonomic design and engineering, reducing resistance and hand fatigue for the user.
The wide jaw aperture means it is suitable for both lamb marking and tagging older sheep.
The Speedy Tagger has the high-quality construction, robustness, and reliability associated with all Shearwell products.
General cleaning between uses will keep the tagger working well with little to no need for maintenance or regular adjustments.
Also new from Shearwell is its conditionally accredited NLIS Cattle MET tag.
The MET tag is a one-piece stainless-steel tag specifically designed for improved retention.
They are super sharp and easy to apply.
The double-gear MET silver applicator assists with easy application, resulting in less effort when tagging and reducing stress on the livestock.
It’s a robust tag for marking keeper heifers or breeders that have lost their original tag.
Shearwell Sheep eID and NLIS Cattle MET tags, along with the Speedy Tagger and MET applicator, are available through the AgVic online portal at tags.agriculture.vic.gov.au.
