Local couple Emiley and Mathew Bone have extended their business interests, stretching from Nhill and Kaniva to Dimboola.
The couple, who farm in Kiata and run a landcape gardening business based in Nhill, are the proud new owners of funeral services located in Dimboola, Nhill and Kaniva, after purchasing the businesses late last year from Rodney and Stephanie Kennedy.
Mrs Bone, originally from Balranald in New South Wales, said their aim to was to create a funeral business that was honoring and dignified to all, and said they had already clocked up over 18 funerals since taking over the service.
'"I have always been interested in the funeral process," she said.
"I used to seek out Rodney Kennedy and enquire about what was involved."
Mr and Mrs Bone have attended seminars and forums and had on-the-job work experience to learn about all aspects of the funeral business.
