Nhill, Dimboola produce big wins
Nhill, Dimboola, Horsham Golf and Horsham City make up the top four of the Wimmera weekend pennant division one competition after six rounds as all teams produced wins on Saturday November 8.

Dimboola came away with the biggest victory, winning all three rinks as they defeated Coughlin Park 87-54 at Dimboola Bowling Club.
The rink one team of Judith Albrecht, Robert Pyers, Joshua Cook and skipper Daniel Danisch defeated Coughlin Park’s Damian Bryan, Timothy Nihill and Peter Beasley, skippered by Craig Decker, 26-23.
The team of Darryl Argall, Shannon Williams and Darryl Both, skippered by Peter O'Loughlin, had a 31-20 rink two win over Coughlin Park’s Terry Sartori, Allan Thompson and Rowan Hawkins, skippered by Michael Ellis.
The home side’s rink three squad of Greg Cook, Wayne Albrecht, Don Connors and skipper Alan Krahe defeated Coughlin Park’s Colin Weir, Greg Sleep, Robin Shaw and skipper Charles Officer 30-11.
At Sunnyside, a dominant third rink performance saw Nhill defeat Sunnyside 94-64.
Nhill’s rink one team of Ray Olney, Barry Cramer and Ivan Reichelt, skippered by Allan King, defeated Sunnyside’s team of Paul Southcott, Jillian Coutts and Chris Trotter, skippered by Gavin Watson.
Sunnyside’s rink two team of Lane Hyde, Norma Hair, Roger MacInnes and skipper John Ackland defeated Nhill’s Nicholas Robins, Roger Brown and Greg Ryan, skippered by Darren Gebert, 32-23.
Nhill’s team of Matthew Morrison, Brad Blackwood and Ryder Byrnes, skippered by Kevin Jones, proved too good for Sunnyside’s team of Rod Skurrie, Barry McIntyre, Rex Bergen and skipper Dale McRae, winning 41-12 to secure the overall victory.
At Edenhope, Horsham Golf won two out of the three rinks to defeat Goroke-Edenhope 90-71.
Horsham Golf’s team of Hayden Tucker, Denis Ballinger and Graeme O’Connor, skippered by Gavin Walter, defeated Goroke-Edenhope’s John Moloney, Barry Crick, Richard Smith and skipper Geoff Lowe 27-23.
The home side took out the second rink as Alan O’Bryan, Travis Crawford, Terry Exell and skipper Hugh Caldow defeated Horsham Golf’s team of Adam Galpin, Ken McClelland and Danny Schmidt, skippered by Bradley Robinson, 28-25.
Horsham Golf’s rink three team of Ross Barnett, Stephen Harris and Geoffrey Bald, skippered by Ash Batchelor, defeated Craig Smith, Wayne Caldow and Bruce Ackland, skippered by Philip Robinson, 38-20.
At Kaniva, Horsham City returned to the winners' table with an 87-67 victory.
Horsham City’s rink one team of Douglas Mitchell, Graham McDonald and Kevin Smith, skippered by Kevin Clyne, defeated Kaniva’s Darren Maddern, Tyler Cooper and Christopher La Rocca, skippered by Bruce Dodson, 33-23.
The visitors’ rink two team of Colin Morrell, John Burchell and Bruce Campbell, skippered by Anthony King, produced a 29-18 defeat of Kaniva’s Russell Crouch, Steve Duthie, Janet Kuchel and skipper Adrian Coad.
Kaniva’s rink three team of Paul Pearson, Timothy Meyer, Malcolm Coutts and skipper Jeffrey Meyer just edged out Horsham City’s Derek Bellinger, Geoffrey Inglis, William Hogan and skipper Ron Dolby 26-25.
As well as their strong start in division one, Horsham Golf’s division two remains on top, unbeaten as they defeated Coughlin Park 76-62.
Other division two results saw Dimboola beat Natimuk 75-61, Sunnyside defeat Goroke Edenhope 80-60 and Nhill overcome Horsham City 83-67.
In division three, Nhill three just overcame Kaniva 54-51, Coughlin Park four defeated Sunnyside 65-58, Horsham Golf beat Nhill four 74-34 and Coughlin Park three defeated Horsham City 56-48.
