Council mayor Kylie Zanker thanked key personnel that helped see the project through to completion.

"I wish to thank Isaac McPherson, project manager and Tony Caccaviello, chief operating officer for ensuring this project came to fruition.

Cr Zanker also acknowledged council's central works operations team, who looked after the site preparation and landscaping.

"Thank you to Andrew Richards for his assistance with some of the landscaping works and new amenities set up."

The block features an accessible toilet and shower room, two female shower rooms, three female toilets (one ambulant), two male shower rooms, three male toilets (one ambulant) and an accessible laundry facility with washing and drying equipment.

Demolition of the existing amenities block and the completion of one remaining ensuite site is yet to be completed.

Council contributed $313,000 to the project with the remaining amount received from round two of the State Government's Victorian 'Great Outdoors Camping and Caravan Fund' which was awarded in January of 2021.

"There were many delays with this project as it was delivered during Covid, where we saw rising prices of raw materials and limitations on the availability of contractors," Cr Zanker said.

Landmark Furphy Foundary manufactured materials used in the frame and local sub-contractors were used to complete the installation of the project.
