An unforgettable day of music, food, and community spirit will gear up the town on Saturday, September 27, from 2pm til late, as the festival promises something for everyone.

The attendees will enjoy the AFL Grand Final on the big screen, live music performances, food vans, kids' entertainment, root lotto, root toss and a whole lot more, with all set against the backdrop of Ouyen's beautiful lake.

The Mallee Root Festival has been running since 2018, and the festival president, Stacey Sutton, is feeling very proud to bring it back again this year.

"This festival is about celebrating everything that makes Ouyen and the Mallee special - from its people and landscapes to its stories and spirit," she said.

"It's a chance for the whole community to come together."

Organisers said everyone is welcome to bring their friends, family, and dancing shoes, as it's going to be a day to remember.

People can buy tickets from the website at www.malleeroot.au/store/tickets.
