Perfect weather draws crowd to Glenn Miller golf event
Ladies’ Day golf at Warracknabeal on Wednesday was well supported, and once the fog lifted, the day developed into a still, sunny day; perfect for golf.

Sponsor of the stableford event was Glenn Miller Painting, and we are very grateful to Glenn for his support.
In a close contest, Captain Ladies’ Julie Bayles emerged as the winner on 34 points, with Casey Phelan just one point behind, on 33 points.
These two players showed their prowess in accuracy as the took out most of the accuracy prizes as well.
The Power & Bennet 7th and the Rural Northwest Health 13th were claimed by Casey Phelan.
The Sue Krause third shot on the 9 th was won by Julie Bayles.
The Nearest to The Pin winner on the Warrack Hot Bread 5th was Wendy Hewitt.
The Warracknabeal Dental Clinic 9 Out was won by Judi Armstrong (20 points) and the Shirley Liersch 9 IN was taken out by Sue Krause (19 points).
Just like her sister, Sue Sanford did last week, Julie Bayles continued with her prize winning run when she claimed the Taylors Palace Hotel voucher in the raffle.
Saturday’s stableford winner was once again Kaye Picken with a great score of 34 points, playing consistent golf.
Next week’s event is the 4BBB V Par CLASSIC, which is a Board Event.
We are very grateful to Vicki Hinkley for her generous sponsorship of this prestigious closed event, so we hope to see good numbers of players.
The Match Committee is on Office Duty.
See you next week, and don’t forget to organize your playing partner.
