For more than 20 years, Scrapping Addiction has been held on two weekends each year, in March and July.

The latest event saw 25 women register from Melbourne, Ballarat, Maryborough, Rainbow, Dimboola, Horsham, Warracknabeal and districts.

Desrae Hitchburn from Mildura said she travelled down for both weekend events in the year and stayed in her motorhome at the racecourse.

"A friend got me into it and here we are," Ms Hitchburn said.

"It's great to have everyone come together."

The social event allowed scrappers to not only enjoy the craft but to learn new techniques and have fun while they focused on personal projects such as card making, scrapbooking layouts and junk journals.

Junk journals are a new form of scrapbooking, recycling bits and pieces and mixing them with creativity to create something that's a beautiful and meaningful gift.

Some also created stamps for their projects.

Guest retailers including Horsham's Create Craft and Rainbow's Mallee Magic set up stalls on site, allowing scrappers to purchase supplies ranging from scrapbooking kits to card marking material.

The event was catered by Warracknabeal local Brooke Holland.
