Pimpinio continue winning ways
Pimpinio won their fourth straight game, defeating the Edenhope Apsley Saints on Saturday in round 13 of the Horsham District Football Netball League.

The final score was Pimpinio 17.11 (113) to Edenhope Apsley 7.2 (44).
Playing at home, the Tigers got off to a strong start, establishing a 33-12 lead before a tighter second quarter saw them go up 53-24 at the main break.
The Saints remained competitive throughout the remainder of the match, but Pimpinio closed the game with a 33-point final quarter to win by 69.
Tom Arthur and Nick Groves were two of the standouts for the victors, while Josh La Rocca and Shayne Williams impressed for Edenhope Apsley.
Groves kicked an impressive eight goals for Pimpinio, while Williams led the Saints with two.
Guy Smith, coach of Pimpinio, was happy to notch the win against a challenging Edenhope outfit.
“It was a good test for us,” Smith said.
“They made it really hard for us in regards to getting clean ball inside 50 and things like that. “They did everything right to stop that from happening, so credit to them.
“We were a bit messy and couldn't get things quite right, and we had our fair share of unforced clangers.
“After halftime, we sort of got ourselves into gear, took control of the game properly and off we went.”
Asked about Groves’ recent goalkicking form, Smith says that the small forward has come back nicely from injury.
“Nick was our main target up forward last year,” Smith said.
“He’s missed a massive chunk of time this year, but he’s made the comeback and he’s doing what he normally does.
“He’s a small, crafty forward that can kick a score for us, that’s for sure.”
The win keeps Pimpinio in third place before their pivotal clash against the fourth-placed Laharum in round 14.
