The Tigers began the season with four straight wins before a tight loss to Harrow Balmoral and a victory over the Swifts.

But Pimpinio entered the long weekend break with a 5-2 record on the back of a heavy 143-54 defeat to Kaniva Leeor..

Despite dealing with some injuries in the loss to Kaniva, Guy Smith, coach of Pimpinio, was full of praise for Kaniva.

“We came home with our tail between our legs,” Smith said.

“They played like an absolute gun side, they were unreal.”

Noradjuha Quantong return from the break as the benchmark side.

Not only are the Bombers undefeated, but they also ended Harrow Balmoral’s historic win streak.

Smith has identified Noradjuha’s midfield and forwards as key areas to nullify on Saturday.

“We’ve just got to cover their key bases,” Smith said.

“They've got a good forward line, so we will need to plan around that, defensively-wise. “You've got a couple of good guys in their midfield that instigate a lot of their players as well.”

Despite their injuries, the Tigers are intent on pushing the current league leaders.

“We're still missing at least four or five players still, so we're just going to go in and do the best performance that we possibly can.

“We’ll try to minimise their impact and just see where the game takes us.”
