The Tigers have won four straight to place them third on the ladder with a 9-3 record but go against a Laharum side they narrowly defeated back in round three.

Laharum are coming off a comprehensive 117-35 victory over Kalkee which currently sees them at 8-4 for the season, leaving them fourth on the ladder, just one spot shy of Pimpinio.

As well as having potential finals repercussions with both teams battling to get into the top three, Pimpinio will be motivated to win at home as the club celebrates a reunion of its 2005 men’s senior football premiership.

Guy Smith, coach of Pimpinio, said he was looking forward to the day and was excited at the opportunity to go against a quality opponent.

“We're pretty keen to have a crack against someone that's in that top four just to see how we're going and where we're at at the minute,” Smith said.

“It’s a big weekend for the whole club with the reunion so we want to be able to play our best if we can.”

Smith also acknowledged that Pimpinio were managing injuries at the moment – an issue Laharum has also been struggling with.

Shannon Argall, co-coach of Laharum, views the game as an opportunity to move into the top three but knows the challenge his side faces.

“A win against Pimpinio would be good, particularly looking at that three spot,” Argall said.

“We do have several players out at the moment so it’s going to be tough.

“If we do lose, we’ve got some aces up our sleeve to come and that will help us down the road.”
