An unknown offender or offenders has accessed a Tarrant Road property and stolen five batteries from two pieces of machinery, while at nearby property, the driving lights have been stolen from a tractor.

The driving lights are reported as “distinctive” as they are square-shaped with the word “rigid’ on the casing.

We are investigating several thefts that have occurred in the last few weeks on farms on the edge of town,” Sergeant Kylie Newell said.

“It’s disappointing these incidents are occurring, and any assistance from the public would be greatly appreciated.”

Sergeant Newell said they have also received a report of ongoing damage to the old secondary college site.

Anyone with information regarding the thefts or vandalisms, anyone who has seen or heard something suspicious, is encouraged to speak to officers at Warracknabeal Police Station on Jamouneau Street, or contact them on (03) 5396 2100.

Alternatively, reports can be made to Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000, or submitted as a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
