A Department of Education spokesperson confirmed officers patrolled near Horsham College as a precautionary measure.
“All staff and students are safe, and the school operated as normal," the spokesperson said.
Horsham College has a support system in place for students, and this can be accessed after this incident or at any time.
The safety and well-being of all students is a priority, and police were called today for that reason.
