Premiership Bulldog Tom Boyd visiting this week

From premiership glory to mental health advocacy, Tom Boyd will share his football journey with local students during a special regional visit.

Western Bulldogs premiership player Tom Boyd will visit Warracknabeal this Friday to speak with Wimmera students about mental health, football and life beyond the game.
Western Bulldogs premiership player Tom Boyd will visit Warracknabeal this Friday to speak with Wimmera students about mental health, football and life beyond the game.

Western Bulldogs premiership player Tom Boyd will be in the Wimmera this Friday May 29.

Boyd will be in the area to speak to students from Warracknabeal, Murtoa, Hopetoun, Rainbow and Dimboola. 

The event will start at 9.50am and run for 50 minutes at Warracknabeal Secondary College stadium. 

During this time Boyd will talk about his mental health and his football journey, then open up to a question-and-answer session.

It will end with an opportunity for students and staff to pose with Boyd for photos.

A WorkSafe Victoria representative will also speak about farm safety, engaging the students in a two-way discussion.

Western Bulldogs' regional programs officer for West Wimmera, Yarriambiack and surrounds, Mikayla Smith, said it would be "a great opportunity to showcase our rural high schools and the engagement Western Bulldogs Football Club and WorkSafe have within regional communities".
