Pruning season returns
Experienced gardener Brian Matotek will return to Rainbow next week for his 22nd consecutive year, offering his expertise in rose and fruit tree pruning.
The Rainbow Learning Group and Neighbourhood House (RLGNH) are now taking bookings from residents who would like their trees pruned.
A $5 booking fee applies, and RLGNH will confirm the dates once appointments are finalised.
Mr Matotek said his connection to the town has been long-standing.
"No, it's 22 years this year," he said when asked if it was his first visit to Rainbow.
He said interest in the pruning service varies year to year.
"A couple of years ago was nice, while last year was a little bit lean, but it's like each year," he said.
Bookings can be made by contacting the Neighbourhood House.
"If I get 10 customers, that would be just nice," Mr Matotek said.
Pruning will cost $30 per fruit tree and $5 per rose bush.
