Pupils plant lasting legacy
Hopetoun’s St Joseph’s Primary School students have rolled up their sleeves in celebration of National Schools Tree Day.

The pupils planted a variety of native trees around Lake Lascelles.
Principal Cynthia Maiden said the day was a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
“The tree-planting activity gave students the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the local community while learning about the importance of caring for the natural environment,” she said.
“As the trees grow, they will stand as a reminder of the students' commitment to caring for creation and protecting the environment for future generations.”
“The project encouraged teamwork, environmental stewardship, and a sense of pride in helping to care for one of the community's most valued outdoor spaces,” teacher Donna Horman added.
