Rainbow bounce back against Murtoa

It was an early start on Saturday as Division 1 were playing at Murtoa and they requested starting at 10.30am. Unfortunately we couldn't get a Division 2 side due to harvest and players being away.

After a stop in Warracknabeal we almost had an extra player for the day. A cat thought it might hitch a ride on Greg’s bonnet.

Arriving ready to play the weather was cold, windy and overcast. Rainbow got off to a great start with some great bowls being played by both teams.

Rainbow 76 shots 14 points defeated Murtoa 50 shots 2 points.

Popeye (Rod) Mclean continued his winning streak. His team being Rainbow’s best winning rink - winning by 17 shots.

A great day was had by all with a few drinks and laughs afterwards. Thanks Murtoa for a
great day of bowls.

This was our last game for harvest break and will return on January 20. This Saturday, December 9, is our Christmas Party. Members please bring either a salad or sweet. Have a blessed, safe and Merry Christmas.

Until 2024, Good Bowling.
