Junior badminton under way
Rainbow junior badminton for the 2025 season has started with 19 enthusiastic junior players.
The group had new players and a couple of players who couldn’t make it on the opening day, and had lost a couple to the senior badminton competition which started on Monday and Wednesday this week, May 26 and 28.
Any new players are most welcome to go along on Wednesdays after school to the town Mecca in the main street of Rainbow.
The cost is $2 each week and racquets are provided.
A parent roster will be made up and sent out to help keep the competition organised.
On the opening afternoon those present played three doubles sets and one singles set each.
New and younger players played only to 11 points while the older ones played to 21 points.
