Nineteen students and three teachers spent three days on the slopes, learning to ski or snowboard in pristine conditions.

With blue skies and more than 1.5 metres of snow, students quickly discovered the snow was not as soft as it looked.

The group raised $4000 through various fundraising efforts, including recess sales, bake sales, a wood raffle, and chocolate boxes, with the Lions Club donating an extra $1000 to help fund the trip.

Year 10 student Jayde Kajewski said quickly going down the mountain was fun.

"The best part was going down the mountain in two minutes," she said.

"The weather wasn't freezing, as it was quite warm underneath all the ski gear and all of that."

Year 11 student Amelia Fuller said the highlight was learning how to snowboard and getting lessons, the instructors were really funny.

"It was also cool just being at the resort and hanging out with friends."

For Year 12 student Phoebe Bighen, free-skiing before lessons was the standout.

"The highlight for me is probably the third day, but mostly the free ski time we had before our lesson, as I managed not to fall over going down the mountain," she said.

Ms Bighen said the attendees built resilience during the camp.

"It takes a lot to be able to get back up after you keep falling," she said.

"It's also just good to learn a new skill you wouldn't get the chance to living around here."

Students stayed at Alesburg Resort in Mansfield and returned home with memories of a camp that pushed them to try something new and give it a red-hot crack.
