This recognition marks his third feature in national magazines, underscoring his dedication to promoting the Mallee's unique landscape and heritage.

While talking to The Argus, Mr Drendel's reaction was very casual.

"As good as normal," he said.

"Feeling very happy. The article was about Pella, not about me, but my picture is with the article as a tourist coordinator."

Previously, he was featured in The Mallee Book magazine two years ago and in another magazine, whose name he couldn’t recall.

"This is the third time I've made it to the magazine," he said.

As the town's tourist coordinator, Mr Drendel is often the first point of contact for tourists to visit Pella Church.

He also plays the organ every time at Pella during the visit for the attendees.

"People do contact me when they want to go there and want me to show them around," he said.

"Entertaining them is the favourite part of my job, and also giving them knowledge.

His message to locals and tourists was very straightforward.

"If you know anybody interested, just give them my number and I'll take them out," he said.

Interested people can contact Mr Drendel on 0418 424 791.
