RDLG receives $10K sponsorship
The Rainbow and District Landcare Group (RDLG) has received a $10000 sponsorship from Horsham Sports and Community Club to complete and widen the Rainbow walking track at the back of the showgrounds.
RDLG members Walter Fischer, Roger Aitken, Bruce Heinrich, Greg Roberts and Bernard Young.
This track was built in 2018 by the Landcare group; however, at the time, there weren’t enough funds available to complete the circuit.
RDLG president Bruce Heinrich announced it during the organisation's Annual General Meeting on October 15.
Mr Heinrich reported on the group’s community activities during the past year, including the planting at Rainbow Rises in August and a second Fruit Fly awareness event at Ismay's Home Hardware in September.
He also thanked the organiser for organising the events in both years.
“A big thank you to Gabby Fischer for organising that event this year and last year,” Mr Heinrich said.
“And, as always, we are focused on pest control, especially weeds and rabbits.”
