RNH new duplexes to open today
Rural Northwest Health will officially open its two new duplexes in Hopetoun this morning, marking another milestone in efforts to attract and retain essential health workers in the region.
RNH Hopetoun campus manager Angela Naylor and nurse unit manager Alison Fischer check out one of the almost-complete duplexes with project support officer Bernie O’Connor last month.
The modern, purpose-built homes at 2A and 2B Phillips Street have been delivered as part of the Victorian Government’s $150 million Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, aimed at easing housing pressures and supporting key staff in rural areas.
The official opening ceremony will take place at 11am today, Friday October 17, with community members invited to join Rural Northwest Health representatives in celebrating the completion of the project.
