Work on O'Callaghans Parade has been slightly delayed after crews encountered an unforeseen issue. A Horsham Rural City Council spokesperson said crews found a significant soft spot linked to an old water main on the northern side of the road.

A Horsham Rural City Council spokesperson said crews found a significant soft spot linked to an old water main on the northern side of the road.
“The issue is expected to delay construction by approximately three days while remediation works are undertaken,” they said.
Despite the delay, road sealing is expected to be completed by October 2.
Irrigation works, landscaping and line marking are expected to take a further two weeks, with the overall project expected to be finished by mid-October.
“We appreciate the community's patience while these unforeseen site conditions are addressed and the final stages of the project are completed,” the spokesperson said.
