Schimmel piano performance wows Horsham audience
The Wesley Restore, Refresh, Reopen Fundraising Committee hosted two sold-out concerts, ‘Come Schimmel with Us,’ at the Horsham Art Gallery Foyer on Saturday.

The overwhelming demand allowed only 120 guests to attend the afternoon and evening performances, creating an intimate and memorable experience.
The event reintroduced the Schimmel ‘Hidden Beauty Grand Piano’ to the public, showcasing its rarity and elegance.
As the only one of its kind in Australia and one of just 10 ever produced in Germany, the piano mesmerised the audience with its exceptional tone and versatility.
Horsham’s accomplished musicians, Gavin Fry, Tegan Rudolph, and Sean Hallam captivated the audience with masterful performances, blending classical pieces with popular movie and television themes.
Young talents Jessica Hair and William Meyer were impressed with their skill and potential, while soprano Elle Teasdale and Harriet Overman delivered stunning vocal performances.
Tegan Rudolph energised the crowd with a Billy Joel’s Piano Man performance, inviting enthusiastic audience participation.
Attendees shared glowing feedback, praising both the quality of the performances and the beauty of the piano.
The event’s success inspired two generous donations of $10,000 and $5,000, reinforcing the community’s strong support for The Wesley’s restoration efforts.
Encouraged by the night's success, the committee plans to host more events at The Wesley, celebrating Horsham's rich musical culture and the extraordinary Schimmel piano.
