Schoo makes hole in one
Marty Schoo produced a moment to remember when he hit a hole-in-one on the 13th hole at the Horsham Golf Club on Wednesday, January 28.

Schoo said a change in club to counter the wind helped the shot onto the centre green.
“Due to the wind, I decided to go to an extra club so it would fly lower through the wind,” Schoo said.
“I did hit the ball quite nicely, and it hit the centre of the green before rolling with the slope towards the hole.
“I was already happy with the result, then the ball disappeared!”
An ecstatic celebration from Schoo and the playing group upon realising quickly grabbed the attention of multiple players across the course.
“There was a fair bit of jumping around in celebration by the whole playing group at the time, and a few others from surrounding holes who heard the commotion also came over to shake hands, which was a nice surprise,” Schoo said.
“This camaraderie at Horsham definitely made it more memorable.”
Ironically, Schoo admitted a broken tee may have been the secret ingredient in the shot.
“Standing on the tee box about to tee up, I realised I'd actually broken my short tee on the previous hole, so I went without a tee!” Schoo said.
“I might need to do this more often.”
Despite Schoo being out of form at the moment, the rare achievement earned him some post-round drinks.
“I definitely don't rate my game at the moment; my handicap continues to creep out,” Schoo said.
“I definitely shared a few drinks with my playing group afterwards. It was a fun day.”
