Last Friday Warracknabeal Special Developmental School held a 'Spruce Up the School Day’ to encourage students to take ownership of their new school and be proud of its surrounds.
Recent rain had resulted in weeds emerging in the newly-established front garden beds.
The whole school, students and teachers combined, spent time in the garden together during the sunny weather, with staff and older students working with the younger students and ensuring everyone enjoyed participating.
After a productive gardening session, we celebrated with a sausage sizzle lunch and a well-earned break.
The Spruce Up Day will ensure that the school is in top condition for the Warracknabeal
Education Precinct official opening scheduled for September 8.
