School year done and dusted

Warracknabeal Primary School (WPS) has celebrated their year six's at their recent graduation at the Creekside Hotel, joined by parents, friends and staff.

Principal Chris Kellett said he wishes all student luck with their future endeavours.

"They were a very bright and bubbly cohort, even though there was only a small group of them," he said.

"They all have a bright future ahead of them and I wish them luck."

Jaeden Dean received the Parents' Club Award ($50) presented by Teagan Roche, Ella Preston and Zac Preston both walked away with the Lions Club Literacy Incentive Award ($150) presented by Maurie Parsons, Maxim Tomas received the Warrack Eagles Sportsmanship Award (50) presented by Tiffany Quinlan and Archie Nikkelson received the Bill Jefferies' Citizenship Award ($50) also presented by Tiffany Quinlan.

All money awarded will go towards the students secondary college fees.

WPS held their final assembly this week where all Year six students were congratulated on their awards in front of the rest of the school.

Memorial awards were also presented at the assembly in honour of students who had passed away.

The Linc Spirit Award in honour of Linc Munro was presented by Brooke Holland and was received by prep student Kyzer N.

Year three students had the chance to receive the Jack Woods Award in memory of student Jack Woods.

Presented by John Woods, this years award went to Matthew W who was absent and unable to collect it.

Former WPS teacher Heather Pilgrim presented Integrity Medals to two Year four students which was awarded to Savannah B and Anthony W (absent).
