Manager Charlie Helyar said he was delighted with the turnout.

"I thought 'what do seniors like?' and when you pair it with tea, it's a hit," he said.

"We had to start turning people away last week."

Mr Helyar and administration assistant Caeleb Warren offered guests cake slices and nibbles with a wide selection of teas for everyone to choose from.

Dooen resident Kola Kennedy said the event was a great success.

"It's amazing to see that two men put this on," she said.

Mr Helyar said Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC) also helped with some funding to make the free event possible.

Horsham Neighbourhood House also hosted Horsham's Silver Strings Ukulele Group during Seniors Month who provided free musical entertainment for guests.
