Musician Vivienne Tate’s new work ‘Sounding the Shed’ is now scheduled for May 18 as part of the Australian Heritage Festival at the Stick Shed.

Stick Shed secretary treasurer David Grigg stated, “the welfare and safety of our visitors and staff will always come first and to run the range of activities, we had planned in the expected heat, is just not viable,” he said.

The committee apologises for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation.

“The weather has beaten us this year,” Mr Grigg added.

The Stick Shed will remain open on Saturday, but staff will implement heat protocols, if necessary.

Stick Shed Committee chair Sally Taylor expressed disappointment over the decision.

“We were especially looking forward to hearing live music again in the Stick Shed, with Vivienne Tate’s new work,” she said.
