Shire pools set to open
Outdoor swimming pools across Dimboola, Jeparit, Rainbow and Nhill will officially open on Saturday, November 15, marking the start of the 2025/2026 summer season.

The Hindmarsh Shire Council announced that entry will again be free for all community members and visitors during regular operating hours.
Council will continue to manage all public pools within the shire, with each facility staffed by qualified local lifeguards.
While canteens will not operate this year, icy-poles will be available for a small donation, and visitors are encouraged to support nearby cafes and shops or bring their own refreshments, with a reminder that glass is not permitted.
The pool opening hours are as follows: Dimboola 3.30pm to 6.30pm weekdays (closed Thursdays); Jeparit 4pm to 6.30pm weekdays (closed Wednesdays); Nhill 3.30pm to 6.30pm weekdays (closed Mondays); and Rainbow 3.30pm to 6.30pm weekdays (closed Tuesdays).
On Saturdays and during school holidays, all pools will open from 2 to 7pm with no closure days, and on Sundays from 2 to 6pm.
Council will also endeavour to extend pool opening hours when the temperature is predicted to be over 30 degrees at the usual closing time.
Community members are encouraged to follow ‘Hindmarsh Outdoor Pools’ on Facebook for updates throughout the season.
