Soundshell back open for business
Despite the heat and rain, many locals showed their support at the newly redeveloped Dimboola Soundshell, during the official opening.

Dimboola Progress Association president Kaylene Pietsch said they were watching the showers all afternoon.
"It was very 'touch and go' and deciding if we should cancel it," she said.
"We had groups sitting in the car, but once the rain cleared everyone was up dancing, and having a good time."
Hindmarsh Shire Council CEO Monica Revell and newly elected mayor Cr Ron Ismay both spoke at the opening, with councillors Chan Uoy, Roger Aitken, Rosie Barker and Tony Clark also joining in on the celebrations.
Ms Pietsch and Cr Ismay unveiled the commemorative plaque, which will be placed at the soundshell.
DPA used their catering shelter for the first time, as they cooked a free barbeque, on behalf of the shire, which Ms Pietsch said went very well.
"There are still a few things that need to be done like electricity connection and putting in permanent benches," she said.
"But it went well and kept us dry."
Now that the Soundshell is up and running, Ms Pietsch said it will be used more due to the accessibility of it.
"Hopefully we can get a few more bands to come and play," she said.
The venue now has a bigger stage, a new lockable storage area at the rear of the stage, all-abilities access and improved car parking.
The next event due to be held at the Soundshell is the CWA Christmas Carols on Saturday December 7.
Ms Pietsch expressed her thanks to the community, who helped make it possible to upgrade the venue.
"Without them, it wouldn't have been possible," she said.
She also congratulated the shire on securing a grant from the federal government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program for the upgrade.
