Spirit of Netball Award: WFNL round 7
The round 7 winner of the Wimmera Football Netball League Blue Ribbon Foundation Spirit of Netball award is Warrack Eagles 17 and under netballer Lucy Holland, photographed after receiving her award at Anzac Park netball courts from Warracknabeal police officer Leading Senior Constable Peter Taylor last week.
Snr Const Taylor spoke about the award and what it stood for and the role of sportsmanship and the importance of participating.
Holland is a strong midcourt player with great fitness.
She has been a leader on the field for the Eagles' under 17s team this season and is joint captain.
Holland has also played senior netball in B grade this year, where her versatility has been used in the midcourt as well as under the ring as a consistent scoring option.
She shows excellent sportsmanship both on and off the court, making her a worthy recipient of this award.
Thanks to the Blue-Ribbon Foundation for the work it does in the community and congratulations to Lucy Holland on her achievement.
The Eagles wish her well for the rest of the year.
