St Joseph’s celebrates graduating class

St Joseph’s School recently celebrated the graduation of its senior students with a meaningful and joyful occasion shared by students, families and staff.

The celebration began with a Graduation Mass, where the school community gathered in prayer and thanksgiving to reflect on the students’ journey and achievements.

During the ceremony, students were presented with their graduation certificates along with a special gift from the school.

A particularly moving moment came when parents presented their children with a candle, lit from the school candle.

This symbolised the friendships formed during their time at St Joseph’s and the call to take the light of Christ with them as they move forward into the wider world.

Cheyanne Ryan was presented with the St Mary MacKillop Award for her compassion, respect, quiet leadership, resilience, kindness, and unwavering sense of justice, which she has displayed during her Grade 6 year.

Cheyanne actively lives the motto of St Mary MacKillop, “Never see a need without doing something about it”.

Following the Mass, families and staff enjoyed a shared meal, providing an opportunity to celebrate together and acknowledge the strong sense of community that has supported the students throughout their years at the school.

The graduation celebration was a fitting and memorable way to honour the students and wish them every blessing for the next stage of their journey.
