Stawell woman dies after Navarre crash
A woman in her 20s from Stawell has died after her car struck a tree in Navarre.
The 23-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was airlifted to the Alfred hospital where she later died.
Horsham Highway Patrol officers will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Earlier: A woman in her 20s from Stawell was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after her car struck a tree in Navarre.
Emergency services responded to Bolangum Inn Road, near the Stawell-Avoca Road intersection, at approximately 8.30pm on Thursday, September 10.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a specialist helicopter crew, Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance, and Advanced Life Support paramedics assessed and treated the patient at the scene.
The woman sustained injuries to both her upper and lower body and was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital in critical condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
